The Ritz-Carlton entered the highly-competitive, luxury hotel market in Shenzhen just one year ago and they are already claiming to have the top spot. To celebrate their anniversary on Monday the first of March, distinguished guests and friends were invited to the hotel’s lavish third floor ball room for complimentary food and drinks.
Before the event officially began a discreet press conference was held. The hotel executives mostly wanted to flaunt group’s two newest five star hotels, the 490 meter tall Ritz-Carlton in Hong Kong (which will be the tallest hotel in the world) and their second hotel in Shanghai, which will be situated in the Pudong area and open in time for the world expo. Both hotels are preparing to offer customers the Ritz-Carlton’s signature brand of “unique” high-quality service. The executives also reinforced the group’s commitment to the Chinese market as a region of major growth potential.
